A dietary recipe prepared mainly with starch, certain seeds, dry fruits and pure ghee/almond oil. Ideally used in the morning.
Saboos-i-Gandum (wheat husk) 1 bowl (36 g); Maghz-i-Badam Shireen Muqashshar (peeled almonds) 11 no.; Khashkhash Safed (poppy seeds) 1 TSF (5 g); Khishneez Khushk Muqashshar (coriander seeds) 1/2 TSF (3 g); Misri (candy sugar) 2 TSF (12 g); Raughan Zard (pure ghee) 1 TSF (10 mL)
Soak the wheat husk in sufficient water overnight. In the morning, grind it with water and filter to remove solid fibres. Grind the remaining ingredients in water to obtain a milky paste. Mix all ingredients in a pan and cook on low flame for 7-10 minutes till it attains the required consistency. Fry with pure ghee and use in the morning. Other dry fruits may be added if required. Serving: One serving.
A rich source of energy with nutritious value that is easily digested. Used as a brain tonic for students, elders, and weak persons recovering from fever or chronic disease; can be given to lactating mothers. Note: Diabetic and obese patients should avoid or use carefully.
